Ace Avenue is a singer/songwriter/guitarist from Sydney, described stylistically as "Keith Urban meets The Goo Goo Dolls." In recent times, Ace has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with the likes of Altyian Child's, Darryl Braithwaite and Wendy Matthews as well as performing live on C91.3FM.
Ace Avenue has been a musician his whole life and performed all over the world, but is most renowned for the time he spent as the front man of the band 3 Stripe Avenue (Australia's Got Talent Semi-Finalists). The bands sudden breakup in early 2012 forced Ace to venture out as a solo artist and the new format has produced a string of fresh original songs and great prospects for the future. The highlight so far has been the "Walk and Play European Tour 2012", where Ace travelled across 8 european countries with only a quarter size acoustic in his backpack and simply performed for the locals and tourists alike, anywhere at anytime. "The whole experience taught me a lot about who I am as an artist. By stripping down to just me and a tiny acoustic I realised its all about the songs for me, that's where my heart is. And if you can get a song to connect with people from so many different parts of the world on a humble acoustic with nylon strings, then you know you got something special. I know now what I have to do to pursue my dream in music."
In 2013 Ace was honoured to perform as support to artists Altyian Child's, Darryl Braithwaite and Wendy Matthews for their Australian tours as well as playing live on C91.3FM on multiple occasions.
So far in 2014 Ace has staged performances at the 2014 Tamworth Country Music Festival and Australia Day Celebrations in Campbelltown amongst a number of inner city shows at venues such as the Ruby L'otel in Rozelle. 2014 has also seen the release of Ace's first single on iTunes "La Vendetta."
Ace is currently looking forward to playing a set in the next few weeks as part of the event cinema sessions at Campbelltown and also an outdoor performance in Kelicar Lane at Macarthur Square, not to mention another performance at the northern beaches hot spot "Lizottes" in Dee Why.
